What is up with people getting the death penalty in California?  They never execute prisoners so that is a joke.  I laugh every time I hear that someone got the death penalty in California because it never happens.

I have been having connectivity issues with the cell phone and the house phone ever since the tornado on Monday. My text messages, data and phone calls are working sometimes while other times not working. Sometimes my data works inbound but not outbound. It is very frustrating though I do understand we are having a major emergency. The strange part that I am noticing is that people I talk to are having the same problem no matter where in the Oklahoma City area they are and whatever phone network they are on.

This tornado must have really tore up some phone infrastructure that is affecting all networks. You just have to think about those victims and how defenseless they must have been. I mean, I have seen pictures where entire houses were gone and the debris was also gone. You see some driveways with a slab and not even a board laying on the ground. If this can affect phone service in an area this wide spread, you can imagine what kind of damage that must have been done. We need to keep the victims and their families in our prayers. While not everyone here in the Oklahoma City area was a victim, the entire city seems to be riveted to the TV coverage. Even at work, that seems to be the singular topic of discussion. Everyone I know has a friend or family member that was directly impacted. This is not the first F-5 (EF-5) tornado that we have had and most likely will not be the last but it is amazing how such an event seems to affect everyone in some fashion. Even our employers are calling all employees to make 100% contact to ensure they are safe.

We are truly blessed to live in an area that has so many people that genuinely care for their neighbors. I feel very blessed to live in such a wonderful place.
